House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, and the chairs of the three committees leading the health reform effort, Rep. Henry A. George Miller, Chair of the Committee on Education and Labor, reaffirmed their commitment today to permanent reform of the Medicare physician payment formula (the "sustainable growth rate" or SGR formula).
Clinical guidance in the UK on treating minor burns can be contradictory. Some researchers argue blister fluid can help wound healing and blisters should be left intact while others say blisters need to be removed to avoid infection. A study has found non-burns specialist nurses, who treat minor burns patients in accident and emergency and urgent care units rely on experience rather than evidence for treatment.
It's one of life's special moments: a child finds a fat caterpillar, puts it in a jar with a twig and a few leaves, and awakens one day to find the caterpillar has disappeared and an elegant but apparently lifeless case now hangs from the twig.
