CANCER RESEARCH UK-funded scientists have developed a blood test that could help pair cancer patients with the most suitable therapy for their disease and then track the tumour's progress to see if the treatment is working, according to research published today (Thursday) in Clinical Cancer Research.
Caris Life Sciences® today announced the presentation of data from two studies in which researchers utilized Caris Molecular Intelligence®, the company's panomic, comprehensive tumor profiling service, to identify potential therapeutic targets in patients with colorectal and pancreatic cancer subtypes, based on expression of the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and its ligand, PD-L1.
A University of Missouri researcher has found that eating a healthy breakfast, especially one high in protein, increases satiety and reduces hunger throughout the day. In addition, using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) the researchers found that eating a protein-rich breakfast reduces the brain signals controlling food motivation and reward-driven eating behavior.
"Following Edwards Lifesciences' announcement of an expected 5% growth for its transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) business, GlobalData observes hopeful signs of resiliency in the TAVR market.
