Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. announced that USFDA has granted its subsidiary an approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) to market a generic version of Strattera ®, atomoxetine hydrochloride capsules.
Accellent Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Accellent Holdings Corp., has entered into an agreement to sell its facility located just outside of Pittsburgh in Houston, Pennsylvania to The Perryman Company, also headquartered in Houston, Pennsylvania. Substantially all of the Facility's employees will become employees of Perryman effective upon completion of the sale, which is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2012.
Catheter Connections, Inc., a manufacturer of innovative vascular access and infection control products, today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted the company 510(k) clearance to market its DualCap™ product. DualCap is the only device that nests two disinfecting caps together - for both IV access points, the needleless injection site (NIS) and the male luer at the end of the IV tubing. Previously overlooked as a route of microbial colonization, Catheter Connections has developed the first disinfecting cap for the male luer.
Since the varicella vaccine was introduced in the mid-1990s, the number of patients receiving medical care for chickenpox in the United States has decreased sharply—particularly among children, according to a study in the March issue of The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal.
