An experimental vaccine against an abnormal protein found in some tumors has the potential to delay the onset of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and in turn prevent progression to colon cancer, according to researchers at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
"Unless intensive efforts are made, a pandemic is very likely to occur," Dr Shigeru Omi, WHO's Regional Director for the Western Pacific, told a news conference in Shanghai.
Seattle-based, women-owned, Beveragette Ventures LLC, developers of the innovative, wellness beverage line, GEM, announced today the launch of Keep it Cool(TM), an all-natural, low-calorie, peach-pineapple flavored beverage, with clinically proven ingredients to minimize the many symptoms of menopause; hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, irritability and sleeplessness.
Researchers in The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at Yale have launched the Kronos Early Estrogen Prevention Study (KEEPS), which will further understanding of the possible beneficial effects on the heart and arteries and/or quality of life in recently menopausal women.
