The first study investigating parental attitudes towards the UK's child flu vaccine has found concerns about safety and side effects may negatively influence uptake, and recommends that public health messages need to be reinforced.
Many recent studies have focused on how much it costs to bring a new drug to market in the light of increasing drug prices. Estimates range from $314 million to $2.8 billion. Most of this was based on proprietary data and was, therefore, not verifiable independently, attracting much criticism.
States seek to recoup funds from technology companies that were involved in creating the online insurance portals that malfunctioned.
Professor Dieter Wolke and Dr Kirsty Lee, in the Department of Psychology, discovered that teenagers who are involved in bullying in any way - from bullies, to their victims, to those who both bully and get bullied - are more likely to develop concerns about their eating and exercise behaviours, and become preoccupied with losing weight.
Chiropractor and nutritional educator, Dr. Michael Dobbins, has received the Excellence in Nutritional Education award from Standard Process. The Wisconsin-based nutritional whole food supplement manufacturer presented the award during a private reception Thursday evening at Florida Chiropractic Association's National Convention and Expo event in Orlando, Fla.
