The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses recently awarded its first $50,000 AACN Impact Research Grant to Ruth Kleinpell, PhD, RN-CS, FAAN, director, Center for Clinical Research, Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, and professor, Rush University College of Nursing.
Up to 50% of deaths from cardiovascular disease in Europe could be avoided by implementing population level changes such as taxation and regulation of advertising. Population level prevention will produce greater impacts on CVD than individualised approaches, according to the European Association for Cardiovascular Prevention & Rehabilitation (EACPR) of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
It was clear from IoT Tech Expo Europe 2016 that the Internet of Things has the potential to transform not only healthcare but the way we live our lives.
