Researchers from Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC have found that wound healing after lower extremity bypass or endovascular revascularization demonstrated a more complete and faster rate of healing for larger wounds of more than 2 cm after open bypass. Findings will be presented at the 64th Vascular Annual Meeting presented by the Society for Vascular Surgery, June 10 in Boston.
The same heightened electrical activity that indicates an adult taking a treadmill test isn't getting enough oxygen to his heart is now being measured during labor to see if it can better identify babies in serious distress who need immediate delivery.
