Europe's 500, the association of top European growth entrepreneurs met at the European Parliament in Brussels on February 3rd for the European Growth Summit 2011. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius today announced that CDC has allocated $30 million of the Affordable Care Act's Prevention and Public Health Fund to expand HIV prevention efforts under the President's National HIV/AIDS Strategy. New research reveals mechanisms by which stress exacts its toll throughout the body, from the brain to the male reproductive system, and points to potential paths for reducing the negative effects of stress.
A recent preclinical study led by Anja Kipar of the University of Zurich and the University of Liverpool found evidence of the virus infecting and eventually provoking cell death in microglia and immune cells — but not neurons.
