Whole-exome sequencing and association analysis in nearly 7,000 Old Order Amish reveals a genetic variant that may confer protective effects against cardiovascular disease (CVD), researchers report.
The circadian rhythm is affected by many different stimuli—such as sleep and light, which are the most broadly appreciated ways—but also eating— all of which can modulate, or change, important processes in our bodies such as temperature, production of hormones or other signalling small molecules, cellular regeneration, and others.
The Knight Cancer Institute at Oregon Health & Science University awarded $462,656 to 17 projects statewide as part of the first round of funding offered through its Community Partnership Program. The program's goal is to address community-identified needs to ultimately decrease the impact of cancer on Oregonians.
NexMed, Inc., a developer of products based on the NexACT® technology, today announced that it has completed its post hoc analysis of NM100060, the Company's topically-applied treatment for onychomycosis, commonly known as nail fungus. Based on this analysis, NexMed seeks to pursue signing a partner for further development of the product.
