A new systematic review and meta-analysis showed a small but significant reduction in subjective pain scores for cannabinoid treatment compared to placebo in patients experiencing acute pain.
A meta-analysis of treatments for chronic hepatitis B virus infection suggests that tenofovir disoproxil fumarate is the most effective option for patients positive and negative for hepatitis B e antigen, but the latter group may also benefit from entecavir treatment.

Scientists at UC Santa Barbara have made a major discovery in how the brain encodes memories. The finding, published in the December 24 issue of the journal Neuron, could eventually lead to the development of new drugs to aid memory.
