Pathway Medical Technologies, Inc., an innovator of endovascular treatments for peripheral vascular disease (PVD), today announced that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has granted the company 510(k) clearance to market JETSTREAM G3™ SF (Small Fixed), the newest version of its peripheral revascularization catheter for the treatment of PVD.
Parents of autistic children throughout Virginia cleared a major hurdle today when the House of Delegates voted 74-24 to require insurers to provide autism coverage for children ages 2-6. The Virginia Autism Project applauds the House for its historic vote, which may signal then end of a more than decade-long fight for autism coverage in the commonwealth.
The most thorough study to date of the impact of the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit (Part D) found that this benefit led to a 13.1 percent decrease in out-of-pocket expenses for patients and a 5.9 percent increase in prescription use.
For the first time, it has been shown that patients who receive night home hemodialysis live just as long as those who receive kidney transplants from deceased donors.
