With the variety of resources available from the USDA My Pyramid program to local schools' curriculums, Dr. Sasson ("Dr. Sass") Moulavi, M.D., is surprised by parents' neglect when it comes to allowing poor food choices for children.
The California Chronic Care Coalition (CCCC) continues to advance its work toward meaningful and responsible health care reform with the launching of its consumer website: www.chroniccareca.org. Designed to help build a healthier California, the website is aimed at the more than 16 million Californians with chronic conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes, Alzheimer's Heart disease, Epilepsy and Multiple Sclerosis.
The index, a wholly new approach to the measurement of trust among the general public, shows that brokers and advisers are the most trusted, followed by building societies, then banks, then investment companies.
"Much of the $19 billion in foreign aid that the United States has pumped into Afghanistan in the past decade may be fueling development on the ground in the short term, but is unlikely to produce change that will last once U.S. troops depart, according to a new congressional report," the Christian Science Monitor reports.
The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses brings top issues facing critical care into focus with its spring conference, AACN Clinical Priorities.
