PEPFAR on Wednesday "announced awards for a new initiative totaling $45 million over four years to examine the effectiveness of combination approaches to HIV prevention. These evaluations of combination prevention will be the largest and most robust to date. Data gathered will help partner countries to strengthen their efforts to prevent new infections and save lives," according to a State Department press release.
A new study from Japan investigated various prognostic indicators, including clinico-pathological and pre-operative hematological factors to develop a novel prognostic factors-based risk stratification model for disease-specific survival in bladder cancer patients treated with radical cystectomy.
Physiotherapy Corporation announced today that it has acquired Therapy Plus, a seven-facility physical and occupational therapy provider in Milwaukee, WI. This follows its recent integration with the Anderson Orthopedic Clinics in northern Virginia and a joint venture with Central Iowa Healthcare in Marshalltown, IA.
