Eisai Inc. announced today that it resubmitted the New Drug Application (NDA) for the investigational AMPA-type glutamate receptor antagonist perampanel for partial-onset seizures associated with epilepsy to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on December 22, 2011.
Only one third of individuals identified as being at clinical high risk for psychosis actually convert to a psychotic disorder within a 3 year follow-up period. This risk assessment is based on the presence of sub-threshold psychotic-like symptoms.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 37 states in the U.S. now report widespread influenza activity - and nearly all influenza cases reported to the health authority are 2009 H1N1, also known as swine flu. However, with the release of a 2009 H1N1 vaccine this week, parents have a new preventative tool to help keep their families safe from illness.
In a recent paper, the researchers study the dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 infections on a geriatric hospital ward by whole genome sequencing.
