Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has accepted for filing and review the supplemental New Drug Application for SPRYCEL (dasatinib) for the treatment of adult patients with newly diagnosed chronic myeloid leukemia in chronic phase.
Researchers have newly associated nine genetic regions with a rare autoimmune disease of the liver known as primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). This brings the total number of genetic regions associated with the disease to 16.
Plastics contain and leach hazardous chemicals, including endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) that threaten human health.
A team of scientists from the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore at the National University of Singapore and National University Cancer Institute Singapore, and their collaborators from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, UCLA School of Medicine, demonstrated that a number of novel genetic defects are able to induce oesophageal cancer.
