Vaping or using e-cigarettes has gained immense population over the past few years. It's widely regarded as a healthier alternative to cigarette smoking. Now, health officials warn against vaping as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that a cluster of lung diseases associated with e-cigarette use was reported in 14 states.
In a novel imaging study of sleeping toddlers, scientists at the University of California, San Diego Autism Center of Excellence report that a diminished ability of a young brain's hemispheres to "sync" with one another could be a powerful, new biological marker of autism, one that might enable an autism diagnosis at a very young age.
A medicine used in breast cancer treatment is now considered the best option for treating the most common cause of infertility.
Albany Molecular Research (AMRI) reported that its Holywell, Wales-based wholly owned subsidiary AMRI U.K., has been awarded a seven-year contract for the development and manufacture of an undisclosed active ingredient under clinical evaluation.
