Albumedix Ltd. ('Albumedix'), an emerging leader in the enablement of advanced therapies and recognized global leader in recombinant human albumin (rHA) has today announced an extension to its research collaboration with Cobra Biologics, the gene therapy division of Cognate BioServices, a Charles River Laboratories International, Inc. company.
For the first time, researchers have used embryonic stem cells to develop functioning immune system blood cells - an important step in eventually using embryonic stem cells as an alternative source of cells for traditional bone marrow transplantations.
Study results indicate that physicians respect patient autonomy in the case of uniformly and commonly lethal fetal anomalies, respecting the wishes of parents in how to manage the pregnancy.
Routine clinical use of immunoassays, a type of blood test for measuring antigen-specific IgE or IgG antibodies, is not recommended as a primary means of assessing environmental fungal exposure or its harmful effects according to a report published this month in Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the scientific journal of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI).
