Three chemists from The Scripps Research Institute- Dale Boger, Jin-Quan Yu and Phil Baran- have received awards from the Royal Society of Chemistry, a renowned professional organization for chemists based in the United Kingdom, with more than 54,000 members worldwide.
Vision, the intelligent clinical software specialist, are set to revolutionise data sharing with the launch of a new, shared care application.
Many research groups have and are investigating main protease inhibitors as antiviral drugs, and in a paper recently uploaded to the bioRxiv* preprint server, a team of researchers examine the crystal structure of the protein while bound to various viral substrate peptides (P1-4). In doing so, they reveal the way in which the bound peptide sequence can direct and modulate enzyme activity, providing new templates towards antiviral drug design.
Adolescents who received interpersonal psychotherapy for depression at school-based health clinics had fewer symptoms of depression after 12 to 16 weeks than their peers who received other kinds of psychotherapy at school, according to an article in the June issue of the Archives of General Psychiatry, one of the JAMA/Archives journals.
With the ongoing challenges associated with large-scale testing for COVID-19-including test kit shortages, stringent testing criteria and the inherent limitations of current tracking systems on mildly symptomatic and asymptomatic populations, scientists are looking for alternate methods to boost testing in order to predict the spread of the disease.
