A new report released today (25 October 2004) by the BMA paints a bleak picture of the global community's ability to cope with advances in biological and genetic weapons technology.
HeartWare International, Inc. announced today its intention to offer, subject to market and other conditions, $100 million principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2017 (the "notes") pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") today. HeartWare also intends to grant the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional $15 million principal amount of notes to cover over-allotments, if any.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society has committed $28 million to support an expected 84 new MS research projects and training awards. These are part of a comprehensive research strategy aimed at stopping MS, restoring function that has been lost, and ending the disease forever – for every single person with MS.
Intensive systolic blood pressure (SBP) lowering may prevent more than 100,000 deaths in the United States each year, according to a study that will be presented at ASN Kidney Week 2016 November 15¬-20 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.
According to the New South Wales Council on the Ageing, the Productivity Commission's report on aged care could improve services in the south-east.
