Uroplasty, Inc., a medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets innovative proprietary products to treat voiding dysfunctions, today announced that two private insurance payers have elected to cover posterior tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) using its Urgent PC Neuromodulation System for the treatment of overactive bladder (OAB) and associated symptoms.
For HIV-infected mothers whose immune system is in good health, taking a three-drug antiretroviral regimen during breastfeeding essentially eliminates HIV transmission by breast milk to their infants, according to results from a large clinical trial conducted in sub-Saharan Africa and India.
New imaging research shows that brain activity during sleep was less connected with cerebrospinal fluid flow in patients with Alzheimer's disease.
A new Mayo Clinic study finds that patients who are 50 or older and take multiple immunosuppressive medications for inflammatory bowel disease have a higher risk for developing infections. The study is published in this month's issue of Gastroenterology.
