ThromboGenics NV and co-development partner BioInvent International announce today that they have completed the enrolment of a 632-patient Phase IIb trial with their novel long-acting anticoagulant TB-402 for the prophylaxis of venous thromboembolism (VTE) after total hip surgery. The trial has recruited patients from 36 centers across Europe.
Researchers from the research group in growth factors and cell differentiation at IDIBELL and the University of Barcelonahave participated in an international study that has identified the genetic cause of developmental delay observed in Amish individuals in the USA.
Buruli ulcer - one of the most neglected among the NTDs - is a debilitating and stigmatizing disease. Affecting mainly children in West and Central Africa, the chronic disease results in devastating skin lesions and can lead to permanent disfigurement and long-term disabilities.
Kansas State University researchers have discovered a molecule that may be capable of delivering drugs inside the body to treat diseases.
