Accuray Incorporated, a global leader in the field of radiosurgery, announced today that more than 12,000 courses of lung cancer treatment have been completed with CyberKnife radiosurgery. Usage of CyberKnife radiosurgery for lung cancer continues to grow, as illustrated by a 25 percent increase year over year in calendar year 2009.
"More and more physicians are realizing that prescriptions that leave the office are like money walking out of the door," said Fred Ganjian, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Bryant Ranch Prepack, a leading supplier of prepackaged physician-dispensed prescription programs. "In this day of continuing pressure on physicians to cover their costs, physician-dispensed prescriptions have become increasingly important to a physician's bottom line," he added.
Worry - it does a body good. And, the mind as well. A new paper by Kate Sweeny, psychology professor at the University of California, Riverside, argues there's an upside to worrying.
Hyperfine Research Inc. has joined with Penn Medicine in a clinical research study of the world's first portable, low-cost magnetic resonance imaging system. This collaboration will examine the efficacy of the Hyperfine device in the care of patients with hydrocephalus.
