Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals today announced that XARELTO (rivaroxaban), a novel anti-clotting therapy, achieved improvement in net clinical benefit in a study looking at treatment of patients with deep vein thrombosis. DVT is the formation of a blood clot in a deep vein, usually in the legs, that partially or totally blocks the flow of blood.
A dual-pronged strategy using two experimental cancer drugs together could successfully treat a childhood cancer by inhibiting tumour growth and blocking off the escape routes it uses to become resistant to treatment, finds a new study.
In the Building Environment Laboratory at Toyohashi University of Technology's Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, researchers study the effects that indoor environments have on the people that live in these spaces.
