Japanese researchers have demonstrated that both men and women with schizophrenia have significantly higher plasma homocysteine levels than healthy controls.
Envoy Therapeutics, Inc., a newly formed drug discovery company, today announced that it has secured a loan from Takeda Research Investment (TRI) which Envoy may elect to convert to Envoy preferred stock should the company complete a second private equity financing. TRI will receive certain rights from Envoy related to a specific therapeutic field while scientists at the two companies craft a broad scientific research alliance.
Research conducted at the University of Adelaide has discovered that bees have much better vision than was previously known, offering new insights into the lives of honey bees, and new opportunities for translating this knowledge into fields such as robot vision.
A technology that could allow cancer specialists to better determine the most effective chemotherapy treatment for a given patient won the $10,000 in first prize money in the 11th annual Big Bang! Business Plan Competition at the University of California, Davis. The contest is run by MBA students in the Graduate School of Management.
