Avanir Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced that it has entered into a settlement agreement with Wockhardt USA, LLC and Wockhardt Ltd. (collectively, "Wockhardt") to resolve pending patent litigation in response to Wockhardt's abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) seeking approval to market generic versions of Avanir's NUEDEXTA® (dextromethorphan hydrobromide/quinidine sulfate) capsules.
It's been six years since the national student debt totals surpassed $1 trillion, though student debt has been a problem far longer than that.
New research from the Howard Florey Institute in Melbourne has shown why mutation in a single gene can cause epilepsy in infants.
Measured in billionths of a meter, self-assembling nano-sized devices designed to carry drugs and imaging agents into the body are revolutionizing medicine by improving drug solubility and bio-distribution, providing a platform for combining targeting and imaging agents, and enabling membrane barriers to be crossed as well as making drug and imaging agent combination therapies possible.
Radiometer has added the cardiac marker Troponin T (TnT) to its AQT90 FLEX immunoassay analyzer for the use at the point of care. According to Radiometer President Peter Kurstein, the new marker enables healthcare professionals to improve processes in emergency rooms and labs, ultimately helping hospitals improve patient care and reduce costs.
