Pooled testing for SARS-CoV-2 detection is instrumental for increasing test capacity while decreasing test cost. A team of researchers at Yale School of the Environment determined the barriers to implementing pooled testing in United States laboratories. The study showed that many laboratories use many instruments in their testing procedures, varying in the number of samples each can process.
New research funded by the Canadian Cancer Society has discovered poor educational achievement and learning difficulties for some childhood cancer survivors, especially those diagnosed with brain tumours.

Using multi-disciplinary analysis that included cognitive, neurophysiologic, virologic, and molecular techniques, the team found both a low-level viral infection in the brain and immune cells that had infiltrated the brain in order to protect against the virus.
