University of Minnesota Twin Cities student Molly Gilligan recently published an article in the journal Cancer & Metastasis Reviews that studied the human body's robust inflammatory response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is now recognized as a hallmark symptom.
Reporting this week in the Archives of General Psychiatry, researchers at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine have uncovered for the first time molecular circuitry associated with schizophrenia that links three previously known, yet unrelated proteins.
A UCLA-led study on improving stroke care was selected by the Clinical Research Forum (CRF) as one of the 10 most outstanding research papers written by teams from across the nation in 2014. The organization highlighted the papers at its fourth annual awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on April 16.
The University of California, Irvine School of Medicine has agreed to use web-based digital whole slide imaging developed by MAggPI in the teaching of medical students. In this collaboration, diagnostic-quality, expert-curated digital images of normal and diseased tissue will be incorporated in the teaching of histology and pathology to medical students at UCI.
