Quotient Biodiagnostics, Inc., today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved its biologics license application (BLA) for the first 15 monoclonal antibodies in its proprietary line of transfusion diagnostics. These products are for use by blood donor centers, reference laboratories, and hospitals to type and screen blood.
Proactive outreach to cirrhosis patients in a safety net health system successfully doubled their screening rates for liver cancer, UT Southwestern Medical Center researchers found.
A new study from India raises questions about the dangers to human health of farming chicken with growth-promoting antibiotics-including some of the same drugs used in raising millions of chickens in the United States and worldwide.
