Pretreatment with double-dose anticlotting medication just before percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) cuts the combined risk of heart attack and cardiac death by half, according to a study reported at the 30th Annual Scientific Sessions of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), May 9-12, 2007, in Orlando, FL.
U.S. HealthWorks, the leading operator of occupational healthcare centers in California, today announced the acquisition of the Sierra Occupational Services healthcare center at 1429 West Fremont Street in Stockton. The acquisition of this center expands the number of U.S. HealthWorks operated medical centers to 66 in California and 134 nationwide.

Molecular geneticist Shiva Singh has been working with psychiatrist Dr. Richard O'Reilly to determine the genetic sequencing of schizophrenia using identical or monozygotic twins.
