DePuy Synthes Spine, in collaboration with DePuy Synthes Biomaterials, announced today the U.S. launch of CONFORM SHEET, a hydrated, pliable and totally demineralized cancellous bone matrix that fills voids during posterolateral spinal fusion surgery and provides a natural scaffold for new bone formation.
Researchers at the Moffitt Cancer Center have found that delayed tumor growth and enhanced survival of mice bearing melanoma were possible by blocking the reconstitution of myeloid-derived suppressor cells and Tregs (suppressors of anti-tumor activity) after total body irradiation had eliminated them. Blocking myeloid-derived suppressor cells and regulatory T-cell reconstitution improved adoptive T-cell therapy, an immunotherapy designed to suppress tumor activity.
A new collaboration grant to scientists from Discovery BioMed, Inc. and the Monell Center will support development of next-generation screening technologies to enable identification of bitter taste blockers.
The area of the brain associated with impulsivity and the development of obsessive-compulsive disorder is activated in obese children when introduced to food smells, according to a study being presented next week at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America.
The Mental Health Commission of Canada is proud to support Bell Let's Talk - an anti stigma campaign culminating on February 9, Bell Let's Talk Day.
