Transition Therapeutics Inc. announced that the US Food and Drug Administration has granted Fast Track Designation to the development program for ELND005 which was submitted for the treatment of Neuropsychiatric Symptoms in Alzheimer's disease.
Individuals with 2p15p16.1 microdeletion syndrome present with intellectual disability, microcephaly, delayed growth, dysmorphic craniofacial features, and digital abnormalities.
Restoring people's health and returning them to their daily lives as soon as possible is the goal following any surgery. When a person's ability to eat and speak is affected, as with cancer in the mouth, surgery is particularly disruptive, creating a greater challenge. A one-step surgery can remove cancerous tissue and reconstruct bone and teeth functionality immediately, positively impacting the patient's quality of life.
What started with the frustration of three families in three different states to find resources for their children with Cerebral Palsy has turned into the CP Family Network's "Survival Guides" for all 50 states. The non-profit organization announced today the completion of the last guide.
A 2,600 foot model home unveiled today transforms the idea of aging in place by using groundbreaking technologies and design innovations that make it possible for more older adults to remain independent and at home for longer. This one-of-a-kind home is on display at McCormick Place in Chicago as part of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging's (AAHSA) Annual Meeting & Exposition from November 9-11.
