Researchers from University Hospitals Case Medical Center's Seidman Cancer Center will present findings from two studies evaluating new technologies designed to address common barriers to patient enrollment in clinical trials.
The Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) has launched a new series of videos featuring interviews with health care leaders about issues impacting state medical boards and their mission of protecting the public.
Scientists have long known that people who have a close relative with alcohol problems themselves run an increased risk of starting to abuse alcohol. The reason for this has not been known, but a new study from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, provides part of the answer.
Significant research funding in the form of a five-year, $12.1 million U19 Grant from the National Institutes of Health has been awarded to a collaboration of research teams co-led by Dartmouth's Christopher Amos, PhD, to study and improve precision of lung cancer risk and screening.
In accordance with the World Health Organization recommendation of optimal infant feeding practices, and as interpreted in policy documents of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, it is the position of The Obesity Society that women should be encouraged and supported to exclusively breastfeed for approximately the first six months of an infant's life with continued breastfeeding through the infant's first year and beyond as age-appropriate complementary foods are introduced and as mutually desired by the mother and child.
