Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced that the results of an open-label extension of two Phase 3 studies, published in the December issue of the peer-reviewed journal Urology, demonstrate long-term safety and tolerability of RAPAFLO® (silodosin) for up to 52 weeks of treatment. RAPAFLO® is an effective and uniquely selective alpha blocker for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), the number one reason patients visit urologists.
Lately, there has been considerable debate about the soaring prices of specialty drugs, which are aimed at difficult-to-treat diseases.
Certain patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) may have an increased risk of skin cancer, which is intensified by the use of immunosuppressant medications , according to two new studies in Gastroenterology, the official journal of the American Gastroenterological Association. Immunosuppressants are commonly used in the treatment of IBD.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are a popular treatment for facial lines and wrinkles, but early degradation of fillers may limit how long their effects last.
