IMRIS Inc. and MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. today announced an agreement for the final phases of collaborative development of IMRIS's MR guided surgical robot, building on the development work the two companies have completed to date.
The majority of the current neck support collars for MND patients were designed for a different purpose. So, if you think about when people are involved in a road traffic accident, the paramedics arrive and put a collar on to immobilize the neck and protect the spine. A lot of the collars that we give to our patients with MND were actually designed for that purpose - to immobilize the necks of people involved in trauma… and patients don't want that.
A team of researchers led by the University of Colorado at Boulder believe a dry powder, inhalable vaccine developed for measles prevention and slated for human clinical trials later this year in India will lead to other inhalable, inexpensive vaccines for illnesses ranging from tuberculosis to cervical cancer.
Depomed, Inc. today announced that Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., has licensed rights to Depomed's Acuform gastric retentive drug delivery technology.
