A new study suggests that physiological stress in premature infants combined with separation from their mothers may have lasting effects into adulthood.
Baxter International Inc. announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all of the hemophilia-related assets of a privately-held biopharmaceutical company, Archemix, and entered into an exclusive license agreement for certain related intellectual property assets.
Curis, Inc., an oncology focused company developing novel, targeted drug candidates for the treatment of human cancers, and Debiopharm Group™ (Debiopharm), a Swiss-based global biopharmaceutical group of companies with a focus on the development of prescription drugs that target unmet medical needs, including oncology as well as companion diagnostics, today announced presentation of data for Debio 0932 at the Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) that demonstrated synergy between Debio 0932 and various standard of care (SOC) agents in multiple in vitro and xenograft models of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and renal cell carcinoma (RCC).
Antithrombotic therapy using antiplatelet and anticoagulant agents is the cornerstone of treatment for acute and chronic coronary artery disease (CAD), yet it is also associated with an increased risk of bleeding. It is paradoxical that elderly patients, the most likely population to develop CAD, are those that suffer most from bleeding complications.
Researchers at University of California San Diego School of Medicine found a significant number of children across four regions in the United States were determined to have fetal alcohol spectrum disorders.
