New scanning tools (FMRI, SPECT, QEEG, etc.) are advancing neurology's understanding of a process called neuroplasticity and shedding light on a simple looking balance and movement regimen used since 1982 by developmental specialists to treat people with ADHD, Dyslexia and other learning differences.
Janssen Therapeutics, Division of Janssen Products, LP, presented today 96-week findings from two pivotal Phase 3 clinical trials, known as ECHO and THRIVE, comparing the efficacy, safety and virology profile of its non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor EDURANT tablets versus efavirenz (EFV) in antiretroviral treatment-naive, HIV-1-infected adults.
The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) has named Brian Hill of Newport Beach, Calif., as its 2010 Survivor Circle Award winner. Hill will be recognized with a trophy and a $1,000 prize during the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, during ASTRO's 52nd Annual Meeting in San Diego. He has chosen to donate the funds from the award to benefit The Oral Cancer Foundation, the nonprofit he started a decade ago.
