Patients with head and neck cancer who used antacid medicines to control acid reflux had better overall survival, according to a new study from the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.
NeoPharm, Inc. (Other OTC: NEOL.PK), announced today that it has reached a settlement agreement with Diosynth, RTP ("Diosynth"). As previously noted, NeoPharm reported that it had entered into various contractual arrangements with Diosynth to secure access to manufacturing capacity for the potential manufacture and regulatory advancement of Cintredekin Besudotox through early 2008.
Common surgical procedures used to diagnose and treat precancerous cervical lesions do not decrease women's chances of becoming pregnant, according to a study that followed nearly 100,000 women for up to 12 years.
State legislators united across party lines Thursday to plug a $2.4 billion hole in the state budget but quickly reverted to bitter partisanship as they debated Medicaid expansion, with House Republicans ultimately killing a bill to expand the health-care program without giving it a formal vote (Vozzella and Weiner, 9/18).
