A national research team, led by scientists at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, has created the first "lipidome" of human plasma, identifying and quantifying almost 600 distinct fat species circulating in human blood.

The genetic condition affects one in 3,500 people and is the most common cause of learning disabilities.Now a UCLA research team has uncovered new clues about how NF1 disrupts working memory. Published in the July 12 online edition of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the findings suggest a potential drug target for correcting NF1-related learning disabilities.
Today, at its Annual Meeting, the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) announced a partnership with Gateway EDI to provide claims processing and revenue management services to its membership. The AAOS Revenue Management Program powered by Gateway EDI will help AAOS members submit their claims faster and more accurately to increase revenue and cash flow.
