One of the biggest marketing trends in the online shopping industry is personalization through curated product recommendations; however, it can change whether people buy a product they had been considering, according to new University of California San Diego research.
Researchers at The University of Manchester have unlocked the potential of a new test which could revolutionise the way doctors diagnose and monitor a common childhood leukaemia.
In a controversial breast cancer online campaign women are being encouraged to post photographs of their breasts to raise money for cancer research in New Zealand. This Wednesday more than 60 photographs of breasts including bare, bikini-clad and breastfeeding ones were posted online. The campaign caused the website to crash on Wednesday afternoon, with people flocking to the online magazine aimed at women in their 20s and 30s.
The Ecuadorian Ministry of Health is scaling up an innovative essential obstetric and newborn care model piloted by the USAID-funded EONC Networks Project in Cotopaxi province. The project, which is managed by the Center for Human Services, designed and implemented the model in close alliance with the MOH, USAID, and national and provincial NGOs, providers, and users.
Mutations in the p63 protein lead to a number of disorders, but none is as severe as the AEC syndrome. Scientists at Goethe University Frankfurt in collaboration with a research group from the University of Naples Federico II have now discovered that this syndrome resembles diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or ALS more closely than it does other p63-based syndromes.
