Electronic medical records could improve how care is delivered and financed, but too few doctors and hospitals use it now, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told attendees at the Cerner Health Conference in Kansas City Tuesday, the Kansas City Star reports.
Male breast cancer patients were found to have a high prevalence of cardiovascular conditions, in a small study of this rare patient population presented at the American College of Cardiology's Advancing the Cardiovascular Care of the Oncology Patient Virtual course.
CSL Behring today presented results of a pre-clinical study that not only demonstrates the feasibility of genetically fusing factor VIIa to human albumin, but that this therapeutic protein with a prolonged half-life can lead to a longer biologic effect.
