It has been known for some time that it is better to transfer a single embryo to a woman's womb during assisted reproduction treatment (ART) rather than several embryos in order to avoid a multiple pregnancy and the risks associated with it such as fetal deaths, miscarriage, premature delivery and low birthweight.
Celgene International Sàrl, a subsidiary of Celgene Corporation, announced results from a multi-center Phase I study that explored multiple dosing schedules of oral azacitidine in 23 patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndromes or chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) who were not candidates for other therapies or who had failed previous regimens.
Cleveland Clinic researchers have engineered a first-of-its-kind bionic arm for patients with upper-limb amputations that allows wearers to think, behave and function like a person without an amputation, according to new findings published in Science Robotics.
