A new study brings hope to these patients by investigating whether the drug Omalizumab can be better targeted.
Different ingredients in marijuana appear to affect regions of the brain differently during brain processing functions involving responses to certain visual stimuli and tasks, according to a report in the January issue of Archives of General Psychiatry, one of the JAMA/Archives journals.

Brain tumors are an extremely serious example of this and are not only difficult to treat-both adult and pediatric patients have a five-year survival rate of only 30 percent-but also have even been difficult to image, which could provide important information for deciding next steps in the treatment process.
A new discovery about the malaria-related parasite Toxoplasma gondii - which can threaten babies, AIDS patients, the elderly and others with weakened immune function - may help solve the mystery of how this single-celled parasite establishes life-long infections in people.
The Institute of Medicine defines health literacy as: "the degree to which individuals have the capacity to obtain, process, and understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions."
