Ipilimumab as adjuvant therapy significantly improves overall survival in patients with high risk stage III melanoma, according to the EORTC 18071 phase III trial results presented for the first time today at the ESMO 2016 Congress in Copenhagen.
The average age at onset of depression was nearly two years younger in low-income countries, the investigators found. Women were twice as likely as men to suffer depression, and the major contributing factor was loss of a partner because of death, divorce or separation.
Keryx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., announced today that its Japanese partner, Japan Tobacco Inc. and Torii Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has announced positive top-line results from a Phase 3 study of ferric citrate in Japan for the treatment of hyperphosphatemia in end-stage renal disease patients on hemodialysis.
