Cystic fibrosis (CF), a hereditary disorder causing thick mucous production and frequent lung infections, is associated with a high mortality rate primarily due to lung failure.
Phase I results published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology suggest that nivolumab, either given alone or alongside platinum-based doublet chemotherapy, could have a role in the first-line treatment of advanced non-small-cell lung cancer.
Oxygen Biotherapeutics, Inc. today reported on the results of two University of Miami Miller School of Medicine studies involving the Company's third-generation perfluorocarbon, Oxycyte® perfluorocarbon emulsion. Both study reports showed that Oxycyte® has a marked neuroprotective effect in a rat model of spinal cord injury.
