According to a new report in 30 years time one in five adults in Britain will be looking after a sick, elderly or disabled relative.
MedAire, the aviation medical and travel assistance company, has increased its European presence by opening a new office in Geneva, Switzerland, in April and adding new personnel. The Geneva office is situated inside MedAire parent company International SOS' building, directly across from the Geneva International Airport.
Research from Thomas Jefferson University is laying the foundation for a genetic test to accurately identify hip dysplasia in newborns so that early intervention can be initiated to promote normal development.
Children with a grave skin disorder known as butterfly syndrome develop severe and chronic blisters. Fibrosis, the thickening and scarring of connective tissues, is a major complication of the disease.
The Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis and the American Thoracic Society, the world's leading professional organization for pulmonary, critical care and sleep physicians, today announced that the CPF will again partner with the ATS to fund Pulmonary Fibrosis (PF) research.
