Now, new Penn State research suggests the language young adults use to describe the effects they feel from drinking may give insight into their drinking habits.
ATCC, the premier biological materials resource and standards organization, and iPS Academia Japan, Inc. (Kyoto, Japan) (AJ) today announced a worldwide non-exclusive licensing agreement for AJ's induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell patent portfolio.
Compounds known as "HDAC inhibitors" exhibit cancer-killing activities in cultured cells.
Clinicians are challenged every day to make difficult decisions regarding patients' suicide risk. Using Veterans Health Administration health system electronic medical record data, Veterans Affairs and National Institute of Mental Health scientists were able to identify very small groups of individuals within the VHA's patient population with very high, predicted suicide risk - most of whom had not been identified for suicide risk by clinicians.
Researchers at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute have discovered that some immune cells turn themselves off by producing a steroid.
