The research, by an international team from the Autonomous University of Madrid and the Technical University of Denmark, used 3D printing to create scaffolds for engineered flat brain organoids.
Three decades ago, a study revealed that beverage can pull-tabs were being swallowed by children, prompting a switch by U.S. manufacturers to stay-tabs. But a study presented today at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) found that the new tabs are still potentially unsafe.
Even though babies at six months have just about got the hang of sitting up but cannot yet walk or talk, it seems they nevertheless have the ability to discern who is nice and who is not.
Being made up of flesh and bone, the human body often suffers injuries due to tendon damage caused by various acute or chronic events. As these damaged tissues recover, scar tissue builds up, causing a slow and often painful recovery.
