Results of a Johns Hopkins study suggest that individuals with schizophrenia are significantly more likely to live longer if they take their antipsychotic drugs on schedule, avoid extremely high doses and also regularly see a mental health professional.
Global technology solutions provider Arrow Electronics today unveiled the first healthcare-focused proof-of-concept design incorporating Analog Devices' 3D time-of-flight technology at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show.
Biophysicists at Ruhr-Universität Bochum have demonstrated that Raman microscopy can be used to detect the resistance of tumor cells to cancer drugs.

Dr. Katlic's commentary complements a McGill University Health Science Center trend study, appearing in this week's edition of the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ). The particularity consists in the fact that organoids retain features of the patient they are derived from, even when cultured outside of the human body. This is very different from what traditional, conventional cell culture has been able to do over the past 50 years or so.
