There are many variants of "goblet cells" in the intestines and they seem to have different functions, according to a new study from the University of Gothenburg.
Agilent Technologies Inc. and the National Center for Food Safety and Technology today announced that they have entered into a collaboration to develop new scientific methods for food testing, with the goal of solving a wide range of persistent problems facing global food supply chains.
Following the emergence of a novel coronavirus in Wuhan, China, in the last month of 2019, it has spread globally to produce the first pandemic of the 21st century. The virus, called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has already affected over 2.5 million and killed more than 177,000 people as of April 22, 2020.
Hispanic cancer patients rarely participate in clinical trials, but researchers want to tailor a Spanish DVD to help change this. To create a relevant educational tool, Moffitt Cancer Center researchers investigated why awareness of and participation in trials are so low in this population.
More than 55 million American men are at risk for developing prostate cancer, according to the American Cancer Society. This year more than 27,000 men are expected to die of the disease, which is the second-leading cause of cancer death in men.
