A new study to be published in the journal CANCER in October has found that many women diagnosed with ovarian cancer actually complained of symptoms of the disease at least four months before they were diagnosed.
Scientists of South Ural State University are studying enzymes that can break down stress hormones. They are also finding a way to regulate the activity of these enzymes. It will help to cure diseases caused by stress.
Researchers are now understanding in greater detail the molecular machinery underlying the short-term brain changes that produce the high of cocaine, as well as the longer-term changes behind addiction. Their findings offer hope for targeted drugs that can short-circuit that addiction machinery.
Does an open relationship actually make sense, is today's hot question, it seems, judging from a report in the Journal of Sex Research by a team of researchers from the University of Rochester. The only answer they got was that it depends – not unsurprisingly, on how well the ‘partners' in such a relationship knew each other's intentions and were okay with them.
